Snakes: Ancient Guardians of Goodness

In this series of articles, I will tell you how "beautiful" snakes are. They love us just because we are humans and try to make us live better in our life.
The first misconception about them is that snakes are dangerous animals. However, I am sure you will be surprised to hear: Snakes are not aggressive animals!
Snakes don't attack unless they feel threatened or cornered. Most snake species prefer to avoid humans and other large animals. Snakes are - get ready to be even more surprised - calm and timid animals.
Snakes are so much NOT looking to attack that they are so peaceful that they will give some PRE-message to get the threat away without getting into a fight. Cobras give warnings by raising their heads and widening their necks, while rattlesnakes give warnings by shaking their rattles.

These behaviors suggest that snakes attack as a last resort.
The peaceful nature of snakes may also be reflected in their facial features, since, as far as I know, there are only two animals with smiling facial features. Dolphins and snakes.

They also have another unknown side: Snakes are not active animals. They withdraw from the environment when their stomachs are full, and spend their time hiding and idle. Their hunting period is only a few weeks a year. They generally have a lifestyle focused on seeking security. They do not like difficulties, such as winter. In order not to face the difficulty of hunting in winter… no, they do not hibernate, when the weather starts to get cold (when they feel winter is coming), they find a place to hide underground and stop eating. Thus, their metabolism slows down. This is not hibernation like other animals do.
Snakes avoid human contact. When you come across one, it is best not to disturb them. If you do not disturb them, they will go their own way. If you see one in your garden, it is most likely that it has just happened to cross your land and will be gone in a few hours.
But sometimes (let's be a bit illogical and say "maybe de because they feel you love them", let's say) come to you, sit comfortably near you and keep you company silently.
One day, while I was having a picnic with friends, a pretty snake came to keep us company.
While we were eating and drinking in the middle of the grass and clover, I noticed a snake right in front of the thick bushes a little further away. It was sitting quite comfortably, but it was looking up at us. I showed it to my friends. We continued our picnic with this new friend of ours, we had a great day.
